What Is The Paleo Diet?





You all are probably hearing the words ‘paleo diet’ for the first time. The Paleo diet is based on foods that were available to Paleolithic humans.  The diet follows the same foods that hunter-gather humans consumed, this includes: meat, fruit, fish, vegetables and healthy fats. It excludes processed foods and dairy products.

BENEFITS OF THE DIET
There are several advantages of the Paleo diet. Some of these include:



  •  Reduces the body’s glycemic load (a figure which provides an estimation of how much a dish will raise an individual's blood glucose level after its consumption).
  • Increases the vitamin consumption within your body
  • Allows for sustained weight loss
  • Reduction of pain associated with inflammation
  • Improvement in an individual’s moods
  • Improvements in respiratory problems such as asthma.
