World vegetarian day occurs on the 1st of October every year and is a fantastic way to celebrate and spread the word of just how great being a vegetarian really is! If you're a vegetarian and want to be actively involved spreading awareness amongst your peers and everyone around you, here are some great activities and things you can be involved in this October.

• Bringing in vegetarian food into the workplace to share with your co-workers
• Utilising social media to spread awareness of the benefits of vegetarianism 
• Hosting a local picnic
• Distributing leaflets with facts about vegetarianism
• Have active discussions amongst your peers 
• Learn some more vegetarian recipes and teach your friends to promote vegetarianism
• Serve meatless meals at homeless shelters
