Simple Recipes To Help You With The Paleo Diet

We know you have been waiting for this blog, so here it is! Here is the all-time favorite hot beverage for you to try at home! This recipe may have ingredients that you have never heard of, however the addition of these ingredients add a depth of flavor to your foods. So make sure to try them out!

The first recipe is one of our favorite drinks in the wintertime…hot chocolate! Most hot chocolates are unhealthy, however this hot chocolate is healthy for you and you can have it much more often than the unhealthy ones! So why not try these ones out?!


Paleo Spiced Hot Chocolate

This recipe makes 4 servings and takes around 20 minutes to make!
You only need 7 ingredients:
·      ¼ cups of cocoa powder
·      ¼ honey
·      425 ml of coconut milk
·      2 cups of water
·      1 cinnamon stick
·      1 Anise pod
·      pinch of nutmeg


      Instructions



1.      Place the cocoa powder and honey in a saucepan over a medium-low heat.
2.     Mix this vigorously until there are no lumps in the mixture.
3.     Bring the mixture to simmer (where tiny bubbles are visible).
4.     Add the coconut milk and water and bring this to simmer
5.     Add the cinnamon stick, anise pod and nutmeg.
6.     Let this infuse for 15 minutes by allowing it to simmer.
7.     Use a drainer to remove the cinnamon stick and anise pod.
8.     Pour the hot chocolate into your favorite and enjoy with almond buttercups.
