Hooray summer is finally on its way!!!! The weather is starting to warm up, the sun is shining, birds cheeping. What better way to celebrate than by hosting a good old fashioned Aussie BBQ. But, it wouldn’t be a Life Style Blog post without a few creative ideas to impress your friends, and, of course a post from me wouldn’t be complete without helping you find a few desserts to satisfy your summer sweet tooth. So to embrace all of the above, today we are reviewing some of the best Australian Summer desserts, with a few cheeky tricks and tips to revamp some of your favourites Aussie treats. Australia + Summer + Dessert = PAVLOVA.
Top of the list is an obvious winner… Pavlova! A true Aussie favourite, and the best part is it really doesn’t have to be
complicated or time consuming. Store bought meringue and frozen or tinned fruit
will work just as well as slaving over the oven and trying to perfect that
gooey centre! Pavlova is also a really easy way to experiment and try different
combinations of exotic fruits, to balance out all the sweet goodness, so be sure to scout your local super market for
interesting flavours, remember have fun with it!

TIP: For a fun way to takes your pavs’ to the picnic why not
try embracing the “eton mess” concept and make them in individual plastic
containers, this way they are easier to transport, easy to clean up and ohh so cute!!!

desserts, Tim-Tams and Cheese Cake, This is the perfect summer treat! refreshing and cool (I often put mine in the
freezer so its extra cold) with the flavour of the iconic Arnott's Tim Tams, practically an Australian staple food, together
they are an irresistible combination. I often post about desserts that are guaranteed to impress your friends, well this is certainly no exception! especially on a hot summer day!
TIP: Want to have some fun with it? Why not try using some of the flavoured Tim Tams to completely revolutionise your cheese cake! I recommend mixing half quantities of salted caramel and chewy caramel Tim Tams for a perfectly balanced Caramel Tim Tam Cheese Cake!

The Golden Gaytime is an iconic Australian Ice Cream, enjoyed by countless Aussies every summer… but what If I told you we could make it even better? Introducing the Golden Gaytime Slice!!! When I found this recipe I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought of it myself sooner! It just makes so much sense! This slice is perfect for literally any summer festivities, afternoon tea or a more formal dinner even take it with you to the park!
TIP: Credit where its due, this tip is from the the taste.com recipe but its actually too good to pass up. try adding Golden Gaytime flavoured Ice Cream to the top of your slice. this works on the principle of if a little is good more is certainly better!
